FRAME MOUNT SKID SERIES
For full time roadway maintenance contractors, save time and money by mounting our skids directly to the chassis of your vehicle. Our custom units come with a wide variety of options to fully fit your application.
Capacities range from 2,000 USG up to 4,500 USG and larger with specific applications.
Primarily designed for application of roadway de-icing, anti-icing, and dust control solutions, they can also be used year-round for water hauling and transfer, wash down, firefighting, plant watering, etc.
FEATURES
- Made from all quality, corrosion-resistant, durable components.
- Pump options include commercial Honda gas powered pumps with polypropylene pump heads and hydraulic powered cast iron pumps with stainless steel pump heads.Â
- Optional flow meters are available to connect to computer cab controls to regulate application rates and control hydraulic pump systems.Â
- Spray bar systems for roadway de-icing / anti-icing are most commonly available in one or three lane coverage setups with the spray bars mounted directly to the rear legs of the hook lift skid.
- For dust control spraying systems, high volume single and double spray bar systems are available and mounted directly to the skid as well.Â
- A variety of spray tip patterns are available such as straight stream, fan spray, and hollow cone spray in a variety of flow rates
Components:
- Tanks: The large tanks (typically polyethylene) hold the liquid de-icing or anti-icing solution.
- Pumps and Valves: These are used to control the flow of the liquid from the tanks to the spray nozzles.
- Spray Boom or Nozzles: Located at the back of the unit, they distribute the liquid evenly across the surface.
- Frame Mount: The entire system is mounted on a metal frame, which allows it to be easily attached to a truck or trailer.
